Objectives
Investigators’ objectives
Solve the crime
The immediate objective for detective teams is to solve a fictitious eco-crime.
Investigators must identify:
- who died (the victim)
- why (the villain)
- where it happened (the crime site).
There is only one right answer for each of these categories.
Prepare a plan
The second objective is to prepare an Action plan that will outline the actions that the students can take to influence their local environment.
The importance of this environmental mission cannot be underestimated. The future of our planet depends on it.
Teachers’ objectives
Motivate learning
For teachers, the first objective is to use Murder under the Microscope to deliver targeted curriculum outcomes in such a way that students are motivated to learn.
So far, teachers’ experiences have confirmed that this can occur within all teams, despite varying learning abilities and ages.
Enjoy
The second objective is to maximise the enjoyment that this resource can bring to learning and teaching both in and beyond the classroom.
Go and have some fun!
